Read the opening cards
Keep these points in mind. Three cards remain in the stock. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down. All cards in the last three columns are face up. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards.
Build in the same suit
Here are the details for this mode. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists.
Order within a group may vary
A few details help explain this feature. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together. The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule.
Only Kings fill empty space
The following details apply here. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider.
Reveal the hidden cards
Keep these points in mind. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal. The next hidden card is revealed automatically. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed.
Use the stock once
The following details apply here. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns.
Collect ordered runs
Here are the details for this mode. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up.
Plan around blocked cards
Here are the details for this mode. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout.
